Academic difficulties, whether ongoing or in the past
Challenges with making or maintaining social connections
Behavioral concerns at home or in school
Persistent emotional distress
Applying for accommodations on standardized tests (e.g., ACT/SAT)
Supporting applications for admission to private schools
When an Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) is needed
Seeking eligibility for support and services through the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD)

What does the evaluation entail?
Each assessment is unique and tailored to meet the needs of the individual student. Our evaluators use contemporary and relevant assessment tools in conjunction with qualitative observations and child/parent/teacher/provider feedback in order to gain a precise and comprehensive understanding of your child. These evaluations include:
Parent meeting and social history intake
Review of records (i.e., any previously completed evaluations, Individual Education Plans or Section 504 Accommodation Plans, report cards, disciplinary reports, related service provider progress updates, etc.)
Testing Session(s)
Feedback Session
The results and overall conclusions are explained in depth to the parents, and as appropriate, the child.
Recommendations are discussed in detail
Continued Consultation
The results of our evaluations yield critical information that can help to clear the path for your child’s learning. Sharing this information with your child’s school is a vital component to this process. We appreciate that parents are their child’s best advocate, and we will talk you through potential options within the school system. As requested, we are available to participate in school meetings.
What do the evaluations cost?
As each evaluation is tailored to meet the needs of the individual student, the cost varies from case to case. The final price will be determined after the initial intake meeting.
Is insurance accepted?
While insurance is not accepted, we are happy to assist in submitting documentation for reimbursement through your insurance company
